Jerry Storz, the founder of Storz Management Company , Storz Realty and numerous investment syndicates, began his long real estate career in Northern California in 1957. After 13 years brokering the purchase and sale of residential, resort, marina and hospitality properties, he made the auspicious transition to specialize in the mobile home park industry.
The next year, in 1971, Jerry formed a partnership of investors to own and operate Town & Country Trailer Park in Sacramento, California. Two years later that successful venture led to another investment partnership and another mobile home park. This trend went on and on for decades, including mobile home, manufactured home, and RV parks not only in California but also Nevada, Arizona and Oregon.
In order to best tend his and the investors’ assets, Jerry created a management services firm in 1971, which was later incorporated as Storz Management Company. Storz Management Company grew and evolved to not only manage parks for Jerry’s affiliated investment partnerships, but also for many third-party park owners who demanded the utmost level of professional care for their cherished real estate assets.
Jerry was a pioneer in the industry who dedicated his experience and expertise to many. He served at one time as President of the Western Manufactured Housing Communities Association (WMA), which grew into one of the most influential organizations in the industry. Jerry is fondly remembered as an icon of the early decades of the industry, and his legacy of dedication, innovation, pragmatism and honesty continues at Storz Management Company today.
