Andy Carey, President
Andy has an extensive background in real estate investment and asset management, strategic planning, and operations management. He led the real estate operations of one of the nation’s largest contractors, Granite Construction Company (NYSE: GVA), including a $175MM investment portfolio, was the Managing Partner of a highly successful Southern California real estate investment syndicate, and Operations Manager for an elite custom home builder in Santa Monica. A licensed California real estate broker and Oregon Property Manager, Andy is also a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator and active member of WMA, MHET, CMPA and ULI. Andy is an at-large member of the WMA Board of Directors and a member of WMA’s Legislative Committee. He holds a BBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Mark Weiner, Chief Financial Officer
Mark leads SMC’s financial team, including all matters related to financial reporting, tax, debt negotiation and restructuring, acquisition underwriting and fraud prevention and detection. Our company and clients are fortunate to draw on his experience as the CFO of a Northern California general contractor, Manager of Real Estate Finance for Granite Land Company, Controller for a preeminent Sacramento region real estate developer and years of practice as an Audit Manager with “Big 4” global accounting firm Ernst & Young. Mark provides a balance of financial acumen and shrewd business sense. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, and active member of WMA, MHET and CMPA. He has a degree in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento.
Robert Domingo, Controller
Robert brings a wealth of experience to our accounting group with a background in auditing and financial reporting. Prior to joining SMC, Robert worked as a Senior Auditor for Ernst & Young and held various positions at Granite Construction including Senior SEC Analyst. As a leader of the accounting team, Robert is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting. He earned his degree in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Michele Dos Reis, Regional Supervisor
Michele is responsible for the operational management of parks in Northern and Central California. She has extensive experience in manufactured home and RV park management as well as assisted living and retirement facility operations. Michele provides professional and consistent park oversight and is a critical communication bridge between owners, park staff, vendors, lenders and SMC management. She is a member of the Western Manufactured Housing Communities Association and has an associate’s degree from University of Phoenix.
Sheri Swink, Regional Supervisor
Sheri manages communities in the greater Sacramento, north valley and foothills regions. In addition to overseeing communities, she administers SMC’s comprehensive market analysis program, vacancy management system, and the continuous training program for new hires and existing staff. Sheri brings to SMC over 15 years of residential property management experience, and has an extensive background in Fair Housing training, marketing, landlord-tenant relations and staff supervision.
Doug Farnham, Regional Supervisor
Doug is SMC’s Regional Property Supervisor for Oregon and California’s far north coast. He is well experienced in construction management, Oregon landlord-tenant law, and he spent 15 years as a small business owner and entrepreneur. His diverse background brings a balanced perspective to mobile home park operations, which benefits owners, park staff, and tenants alike.
Kirk Bowden, Regional Supervisor
Kirk is SMC’s Regional Property Supervisor, overseeing Mobile Home Parks and RV parks in the Sacramento region as well as north Sacramento River valley. He brings over 20 years of experience managing employees, representing owners and providing thoughtful customer service. Kirk provides our team with considerable practical knowledge of the mobilehome residency law as well as the nuances of RV law.
Dianne Ferguson, Regional Supervisor
Dianne is SMC’s Regional Property Supervisor, overseeing Mobile Home Parks and RV parks in the California southern valley region, including Bakersfield and Fresno. She has experience in residential property management, including tax credit properties and senior living communities. Dianne provides the team with thoughtful customer services skills as well as team leadership.
Audra Woodward, Regional Supervisor
Audra is SMC’s Regional Property Supervisor with a portfolio in northern Nevada. She is experienced in residential property management and knowledgeable in Nevada’s industry-specific laws in 118A and 118B. Audra is a Certified Professional of Occupancy with a background in single-family homes as well as HUD-subsidized housing. Audra earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada Reno.
Suzanne Peterson, Assistant Controller
Suzanne oversees the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions of SMC. She brings a wealth of legacy knowledge as she has held various positions with SMC dating back to 1997. Suzanne earned a degree in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento.
